I have just ordered some things and will let you know when stuff starts arising. Does every one ohave a set of design plans for the printer, dimensions of components , drawings etc.?.
The instructables page we are using does not have any blueprints or design schemes short of some photographs. As for the dimensions, it seems like it will be pretty variable. Because we are not just adapting an existing printer (instead we are using the CD drive motors and building a frame around them) the size is dependent on how large we make the frame. Judging by their photographs it seems that the completed printer should comfortably fit within the hood you showed us at our last meeting.

ReplyDeletecorrect. the frames are pretty minimalist, their only function is to support the bottom drive and hold the top drive in place over it.
